Downtown Gatlinburg cams

Gatlinburg Space Needle webcam

The Space Needle webcam looks out from the top of the 407-foot tower, with a bird's-eye view of downtown and the mountains. It's the quickest way to check visibility before visiting the Gatlinburg Space Needle.

Gatlinburg SkyPark webcam

See the view from Crockett Mountain, home of the SkyLift and the SkyBridge, on the SkyPark cameras. Planning a visit? See our Gatlinburg SkyPark guide.

Anakeesta webcams

The Anakeesta live cameras show the mountaintop park above downtown, a handy way to check conditions before riding up. Learn more on our Anakeesta page.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park webcams

The National Park Service runs webcams at four spots in the park. Each one takes a new picture about every 15 minutes and shares weather and air quality information. See them all on the park's official webcam page.

Kuwohi — the highest point in the park, formerly Clingmans Dome, at about 6,600 feet. Learn more about Kuwohi.

Newfound Gap — the overlook on the Tennessee and North Carolina line, on the road over the mountains from Gatlinburg. See our Newfound Gap guide.

Purchase Knob — a high-elevation spot on the park's North Carolina side.

Look Rock — on the Foothills Parkway, looking out over the park and the valley below. See our Foothills Parkway guide.

How to use the webcams

Check the weather up high — the mountains can be much cooler, cloudier, or snowier than town. The park cams show conditions before you drive up to Newfound Gap or Kuwohi. See our guide to Smoky Mountain elevations.

Check visibility — clouds can hide the view from the Space Needle, SkyPark, and Anakeesta. Take a quick look before you buy tickets.

Watch the fall color — the cams make it easy to see how far the color has spread before you plan a leaf-peeping drive. See our guide to fall foliage in the Smoky Mountains.

Look for snow — winter snow often shows up first on the high peaks. See our guide to the best time to see snow in Gatlinburg.

Plan around crowds — downtown cams give you a sense of how busy the Parkway is. Our tips for parking in downtown Gatlinburg and the Gatlinburg Trolley can help on busy days.
