Rocky Top Sports World

Rocky Top Sports World is an 80-acre indoor and outdoor sports complex in Gatlinburg, less than ten minutes from downtown and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It hosts youth and adult tournaments, camps, and leagues all year in soccer, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, football, and more, with the mountains as a backdrop.

The facilities

Outdoor fields

Seven fields, six synthetic turf and one natural grass, can be set up for as many as 14 youth soccer fields. Most are lit for night games, and they host soccer, lacrosse, football, and other field sports. Lawn chairs are welcome on the outdoor fields.

The Rock

The indoor arena, known as The Rock, covers 86,000 square feet with six hardwood basketball courts that convert to twelve volleyball courts, plus more courts elsewhere on site. It's built for tournament play, with room for several games to run at once. Lawn chairs aren't allowed inside, so plan on the arena seating.

The complex sits next to the Gatlinburg Community Center, and there's plenty of parking for tournament weekends.

Tournaments and events

Rocky Top Sports World is at 1870 Sports World Boulevard, a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg. The Gatlinburg Trolley also stops at the complex, a handy option for families staying downtown.
