The setting

No Way Jose's sits at one of the most walkable spots on the Parkway — steps from Ripley's Aquarium, the Anakeesta gondola, and the heart of downtown shopping.

Inside, the dining room is comfortable and lively. Outside, the riverside patio is the draw: open-air seating on the water with mountain views behind it, available weather permitting. It's one of the better places in Gatlinburg to slow down over a meal.

The food

The kitchen works from scratch — fresh guacamole made daily, house-made salsas and sauces, and a menu built around Mexican classics done properly.

The sizzling fajitas are the house specialty, arriving on a cast iron skillet with grilled onions and peppers and your choice of protein. The full menu covers starters, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, tacos, specialty plates, combination platters, and a dedicated kids menu.

The bar

Full bar, and margaritas are the natural order here — the house margarita program is the most popular thing at the bar. Cocktails, beer, and wine are also available. Ask your server for the current list.
