Wears Valley Cabin Rentals

Wears Valley is the quiet side of the Smokies: a wide, pastoral valley west of Pigeon Forge, framed by mountain ridges and reached by Wears Valley Road (US 321). Cabins here trade Parkway traffic for open views and dark skies, with Pigeon Forge behind you and the national park's quieter western entrances just ahead.

Why stay in Wears Valley

Peace and space

Wears Valley is farmland, forest and scattered cabin communities rather than attractions and traffic lights. Evenings are quiet, mornings start with mist in the valley, and the drive home never involves the Parkway.

Mountain views

The valley sits between long mountain ridges, so many cabins look out over open pasture to the peaks beyond. Check each cabin's photos for the view from its deck.

The park's back door

Line Springs Road (often called Lyon Springs Road) leaves Wears Valley Road and connects to Wear Cove Gap Road, which drops into the national park at Metcalf Bottoms. It's a scenic, less crowded way into the Smokies, and a convenient start for a day in Cades Cove.

Close to Pigeon Forge

Wears Valley Road connects directly to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, so Dollywood, The Island and the shows are an easy drive when you want them.

Things to do in Wears Valley

Drive the Foothills Parkway, which meets US 321 in Wears Valley and climbs to sweeping overlooks on its way toward Walland. Tips for your stay

Stock up before you settle in

Wears Valley has a few local stores, but larger grocery stores are back in Pigeon Forge. Pick up supplies on the way in.

Take the back roads carefully

Line Springs Road and Wear Cove Gap Road are narrow and winding. Go slowly, and expect to pull over for oncoming traffic.

Give wildlife space

Black bears, deer and turkeys are common in the valley. Keep your distance, never feed wildlife, and keep trash secured.
