Between Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley
You can spend the morning on the Parkway and the afternoon in Wears Valley, or head on toward the national park's quieter western side.
Room to spread out
The valley is less crowded than the resorts closer to town, so cabins tend to feel more private, with mountain views from many of the decks.
Walden Creek Stables, along Waldens Creek Road, is known for horseback trail rides through the surrounding hills. Back toward town, Wear Farm City Park, Dollywood and The Island in Pigeon Forge are an easy drive. Through Wears Valley, you'll reach Metcalf Bottoms and the scenic route toward Cades Cove.
