Pigeon Forge · A 1,000-foot hill, no height minimum
Zorbing came out of New Zealand, and the park claims to be the only place left in the country to do it: you climb into an eleven-foot inflatable ball with some water and roll a thousand feet down a hillside, sliding around inside rather than tumbling end over end. Three tracks, straight and fast or zig-zagging. There's no height minimum, only an age one — a rarity among thrill rides here — and you'll come out soaked, so bring a towel.

Outdoor Gravity Park is Pigeon Forge's home for zorbing. You climb inside a giant inflatable ball, add a splash of water, and roll down a 1,000-foot hill with the Smoky Mountains as your backdrop.
It's one of the most unusual things to do in the Smokies, and one of the most laugh-out-loud fun. Bring a swimsuit, because you're going to get soaked.
Zorbing started in New Zealand. At Outdoor Gravity Park, you ride inside an 11-foot inflatable ball with about 10 gallons of water inside. As the ball rolls down the hill, you slip and slide around inside it like a giant water slide. You don't tumble head over heels. Up to three people can ride in one ball, so you can go down with friends or family.
The water is cool in summer and heated to about 90 degrees in colder months, so the park runs rain or shine.
Red track
The park's newest and most popular ride blends the speed of the fast track with the curves of the zig-zag. Up to three people can ride together.
Purple track
All about speed. Expect to feel a little out of control on the way down. Up to three riders.
Orange track
An extreme zig-zag run for solo riders only. You'll need to ride another track first before you can take this one on.
Want the fun with a little more control? The Fishpipe is a giant spinning ball held in place, so you can pick your speed. It spins up to 45 revolutions per minute, which is almost 20 miles per hour. It's open to ages 5 and up, all the way to seniors.
Who can ride: Riders must be at least 5 years old. Five-year-olds must ride with an adult, and kids 6 and up can ride alone. The weight limit is 275 pounds per rider.
Health limits: Guests who are pregnant or have conditions like high blood pressure or epilepsy may not be able to ride. Riders need to be in good health with full mobility.
Plan your time: Allow about 30 minutes for each track you ride.
Bring a towel: Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel and a change of clothes. You will get wet.
Book ahead: Sessions sell out fast in warmer months, and walk-ins depend on availability.
Keep the adventure going on a mountain coaster like the Rocky Top Mountain Coaster or Lost Mine, or try the coaster and rooftop goats at Goats on the Roof.
