Sevierville · Seven lines, 2.5 miles of cable
Seven lines totalling two and a half miles across the foothills, with the highest running the better part of five hundred feet above the ground — the tallest zipline course in the area. Tours last about two and a half hours in groups of twelve with two guides, and the course sits six miles off the Parkway, so it's a drive rather than a stop.

Legacy Mountain Ziplines sends you soaring over the Smoky Mountain foothills on a guided seven-line tour. The tour covers 2.5 miles of zipline, and some lines run as high as 480 feet off the ground.
The course sits on Legacy Mountain in Sevierville, about 6 miles off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. It's roughly 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 20 minutes from Gatlinburg, close enough to fit into any Smokies trip.
The tour takes about 2.5 hours from start to finish, and you zip across all seven lines with sweeping mountain views along the way. Groups top out at 12 people, so it never feels crowded, and two guides ride with every group on every line.
Built for safety
Each line is steel cable more than half an inch thick. You're double-clipped on every zip, and you stay attached to a safety line on every tower. Legacy Mountain also bills itself as the only zipline company in the area with dual lines for extra safety.
Riders must be at least 4 years old and weigh between 40 and 270 pounds. You need to be 16 or older to zip on your own, and anyone under 16 needs an adult on the same tour.
Arrive early: Check in 30 minutes before your tour, and sign the waiver online ahead of time to save a step.
Dress for it: Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Skirts need shorts or pants underneath. Tie back long hair, skip dangling jewelry and scarves, and empty your pockets, including your phone.
Rain or shine: Tours run in rain and cold, but not in high winds or lightning. If the weather cancels your tour, you'll get a rain check. In winter, bundle up with warm socks, a hat and layers.
Book ahead: Tours fill up on busy weekends and in peak seasons. The company offers a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
Tipping: Tipping your guides is customary.
