The story
Gatlinburg Brewing Company was founded by Steve Wilson, a Sevier County native who caught the craft beer bug at a music festival — the moment when the difference between the cheap option and the good one turned out to be a dollar and twice the flavor.
What followed was years of home brewing, professional training alongside some of East Tennessee's most respected brewers, plenty of mistakes, and the stubborn determination to open something his community could be proud of. His family worked beside him through the early years.
It started as a pipe dream and became a beer-lover's answer to a region full of moonshine and wine.
The beer
A rotating selection brewed on site, spanning the major styles — IPAs, pale ales, stouts, saisons, and seasonal releases. The tap list changes regularly as new batches come through and seasonal styles arrive and disappear.

The food
The kitchen focuses on brick-oven artisan pizzas — ten-inch pies with hand-tossed or cauliflower crust, a range of house sauces, and a full topping list. Specialty pies include the Meat-a-Palooza, the Veggie, and the Hangover Helper, alongside build-your-own. Appetizers cover breadsticks, cheese bread, hot sticks, wings, and pretzels with beer cheese.
At the Gatlinburg location that means last food orders around midnight, even though the bar runs until 1 AM. If you want pizza with the beer, don't leave it too late.
Events and entertainment
Live music weekly, plus trivia nights, bingo, movie nights, and seasonal events in the regular rotation — particularly at the Sevierville location. Multiple TVs and a large projector screen make it a solid spot for live sports.
