The Mountain Mile

Pigeon Forge · Open-air shopping under a 200-foot tower

Two hundred feet of tower rising over the shops, which is how you find the place — three rides hang off it, including a free fall, a launch that throws you a hundred and seventy feet straight up, and a swing out over the complex. Around the base sits open-air shopping, a distillery, a Flavortown, sweets and escape rooms, plus a lawn with fire pits for whoever isn't riding.

Mountain Mile

The Mountain Mile is one of Pigeon Forge's biggest shopping and entertainment stops. It's a sprawling complex just off the Parkway with name-brand stores, local shops, restaurants, sweets and some of the tallest thrill rides in town.

Whether you're shopping for new hiking gear, hunting for souvenirs or looking for dinner and a little fun, it's easy to spend an afternoon or evening here.

Shopping at The Mountain Mile

The Mountain Mile mixes big brands with one-of-a-kind shops. Outdoor lovers can gear up at REI, Carhartt and the Nike Clearance Store. Home cooks will want to stop at Lodge Cast Iron and the Pepper Palace. For bargains and home goods, head to Old Time Pottery and Bealls Outlet.

Don't miss the Mountain Mile General Store for souvenirs, gifts and mountain-themed apparel. You'll also find boutiques, jewelry, Western wear, cutlery and more scattered throughout the complex.

Dining, drinks and sweets

Come hungry. Guy Fieri's Downtown Flavortown pairs big flavors with an arcade and duckpin bowling. Junction 35 is a distillery with a restaurant and bar. Azul Mexican Cantina serves Mexican favorites and margaritas.

Save room for dessert, too. Grab a cinnamon roll at Cinnaholic, a cookie at Crumbl, or ice cream and candy at Cream & Sugar. Rocket Fizz has retro sodas, Currahee pours local wine, and Coffee Armory keeps the coffee coming.

Entertainment and thrill rides

The Mountain Monster

Look up and you'll spot the Mountain Monster, a tower of three thrill rides. The Monster Fall lifts riders 200 feet before the drop. The Monster Launch fires riders 170 feet into the air. The Monster Dive tilts you face-down at the top before a free fall that swings into a giant arc.

More family fun

Solve a mystery on the Scooby-Doo Mystery Putt mini golf course, explore Bigfoot in the Smokies, race the clock at Escapology escape rooms, or let the kids loose at Toy Town.
