Beside Gary Player’s Bent Creek golf course · Three community pools in a gated mountain resort
Cobbly Nob is a mountain resort community about 13 miles east of downtown Gatlinburg along U.S. 321, home to Bent Creek Golf Course and wide views of the Smokies. It's a quieter side of Gatlinburg, close to the national park's less crowded Greenbrier entrance.
The quiet side of Gatlinburg
Cobbly Nob sits away from the downtown crowds, so you trade traffic and noise for wooded hillsides and mountain views. Downtown Gatlinburg is still a short drive when you want a night on the strip.
Golf at the front door
Bent Creek Golf Course, a Gary Player design, winds through the lower part of the resort and is open to the public. It's an easy morning round before a day in the mountains.
Close to the park's quieter entrances
The Greenbrier entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about ten minutes away, with Cosby a little farther on. Both see far fewer visitors than the main Sugarlands route. Read our guide to Cosby and Greenbrier to plan a hike.
Cobbly Nob has seasonal community pools, a pickleball and basketball court, and 24-hour security at the resort entrance. Amenity access and rules are set by the community, so ask us what's included with your stay.
On the drive into town along U.S. 321, you'll pass the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, a long loop of artisan studios and shops. Dinner at The Greenbrier Restaurant is another local favorite on this side of town. From there, downtown Gatlinburg puts the full list of Gatlinburg attractions and restaurants within reach.
