Hidden Mountain Cabin Rentals

Five and a half miles off the Pigeon Forge Parkway with Wears Valley next door

Hidden Mountain West is the original “hidden” location of Hidden Mountain Resort, a wooded cabin community off Wears Valley Road a few miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. It's for travelers who want a quieter mountain setting while staying within an easy drive of Dollywood, Wears Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Why stay at Hidden Mountain West

The original Hidden Mountain

Hidden Mountain Resort has welcomed cabin guests since the early 1980s, and the West side is where it started. It's one of the more established cabin communities in the Smokies.

Off the beaten path

Cabins here sit in the trees on the hills between Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley, away from the traffic and lights of the Parkway. It's a good fit if you want a rustic, wooded feel at the end of the day.

Still close to town

Head down to Wears Valley Road and you're a short drive from the Pigeon Forge Parkway in one direction and the quiet shops and restaurants of Wears Valley in the other.

Resort amenities

Hidden Mountain Resort lists a seasonal swimming pool for the West side, along with the larger resort amenities at its main location on Apple Valley Road in Sevierville. Amenity access can vary by cabin and by who manages it, so ask us what's included with your stay.

What's nearby

From Hidden Mountain West, it's an easy drive to Dollywood, The Island in Pigeon Forge and the shows along the Parkway. Go the other way for things to do in Wears Valley, the Foothills Parkway and the national park's Metcalf Bottoms area. For more ideas, see our Pigeon Forge attractions guide.

Hikers and scenic drivers

Being on the Wears Valley side puts you closer to the Foothills Parkway and the park's quieter western entrances than a cabin in the middle of town.

Tips for your stay

Expect mountain roads

Roads in Hidden Mountain West climb and curve through the hills. Take your time, especially after dark and in winter weather.

Use your arrival directions

GPS can be unreliable on mountain roads, so keep the directions from your reservation handy for check-in.

Stock up on the way in

Pick up groceries in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville before you head up, so you can settle in without a return trip.
