The Pigeon Forge trolley system covers more than 200 stops across Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg — a practical way to skip Parkway traffic, save on parking, and move between attractions without worrying about where to leave the car. Here's how the system works, what it costs, and which routes matter most for visitors.

How the system works

Pigeon Forge Mass Transit runs a fleet of lift-equipped trolleys along six color-coded routes, all originating from the Mass Transit Trolley Station at Patriot Park in the Old Mill District, located at 236 Old Mill Ave (turn at Traffic Light #7). All routes start and end here, so Patriot Park is the hub for connections between routes. Trolleys stop at any designated city logo transit sign or transit shelter — just wait at a marked stop and board when the trolley arrives. Exact fare is required; drivers cannot make change. An All Day Pass ($3) available through the mobile app or the transit office is the best value for full-day visitors.

Free tram service — The Island and LeConte Center

Pigeon Forge Mass Transit also operates a free tram service that runs between the Municipal Lot and two key destinations: The Island in Pigeon Forge and the LeConte Event Center. If you're attending a show at The Island or an event at the LeConte Center, the tram eliminates the need to find parking adjacent to either venue — park at the Municipal Lot and ride free.

Parking lots that feed the system

Limited free parking is available at the Patriot Park Trolley Station (236 Old Mill Ave). Additional free parking is available at the River Lot (2936 Teaster Lane) and the Mountain Lot (2989 Teaster Lane), both of which have trolley stops adjacent to the lots. The Mountain Lot's closest stop is at the south end of the LeConte Center via a pedestrian bridge. All three lots connect to the full trolley network — park once and use the system for the day.

Accessibility

All Pigeon Forge trolleys are lift-equipped for wheelchairs and other mobility aids and can be accessed at any designated transit stop. For passengers who cannot reach a trolley stop, a paratransit van can be arranged for next-day pickup by calling (865) 453-6444. Paratransit van fare is $1 per person each way; one personal attendant rides free when accompanying a passenger with limited mobility.

Trolleys do not operate on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. Pets are not permitted on any trolley or tram.

Can the Pigeon Forge trolley take me to Dollywood?

Yes — the Dollywood route runs directly from Patriot Park to Dollywood, departing every 15 minutes and beginning 30 minutes before the park opens. The fare is $2.50 each way. The trolley runs in the evening until all riders have returned to Patriot Park, so you don't need to worry about the last departure time. Cabins near Dollywood are a short trolley ride from the park entrance.

Can the Pigeon Forge trolley take me to Gatlinburg?

The Gatlinburg Welcome Center route ($1) runs non-stop from Patriot Park to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center on the Spur, every 30 minutes. From the Welcome Center, the Gatlinburg city trolley system connects to downtown Gatlinburg. Note that All Day Passes purchased for the Pigeon Forge system are not valid on Gatlinburg trolleys — you'll pay the Gatlinburg fare separately.
