Tennessee Jed's is a small, scratch-made sandwich shop on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg, tucked into Baskins Square across from The Village and Pancake Pantry. Since 2019 it has served breakfast, coffee, hot dogs, and craft sandwiches, including a Reuben made with brisket roasted in-house, with Grateful Dead décor and a chalkboard menu.

The sandwich people talk about most. Instead of deli corned beef, Jed's roasts whole brisket in-house, low and slow, then piles it on toasted marble rye with Swiss, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island.

The story
Owner Chris Geisz grew up in the Gatlinburg area, spent years working in restaurants out West, and moved back home with his family, much like the Grateful Dead song "Tennessee Jed" that gave the shop its name. The Grateful Dead décor carries the theme.
